We all have at least one day in our life where we felt extremely satisfied with the way we worked and the overall productivity of that day. We might have even thought about what went right that day or even that week. Some would be able to figure out the reason and some would just toss it away and carry on.

On the other hand, I bet we have so many days where we felt unproductive, left projects unfinished, and slumped ourselves to unnecessary distractions. Deep down we know that we have the ability to change this situation and complete what needs to be completed not just in an ordinary way but with high quality. Is there a way to change this?

Of course yes! Your desire to want to be productive itself can change this situation.

Here are the 20 ways you can try to increase your productivity

1. Dopamine Fasting

An average person feeds 34 gigabytes of information into the brain on top of 7000 to 12,000 thoughts a day. Imagine the amount of processing our brain is doing in a day!.

For every simulating intake of information, we are generating dopamine in our body which sends signals to the brain to consume more of such information. Be it Facebook newsfeed or Insta stories or Netflix movies or just any gossip magazine, coffee, tea, Sugars, engaging conversations, texting, music, greasy food, munchies, and anything that pleasures your senses can stimulate dopamine in us.

Cut anything that stimulates your brain and calm yourself for the whole weekend. Strictly speaking, put your brain in a vacuum. This will give you space to deeply cleanse your brain and prepares your best self for the busy week ahead of you. Think of it as a reboot and you shall bounce back with more enthusiasm towards your work.

2. Workout

Workout at least thrice a week. It is needless to say workout energizes you and your brain. When you work out the gush of blood circulation keeps you more active throughout the day. That way you can get more things done.
